The IMF said last week its mission had begun its second review of a $15.6 billion multi-year loan program for the country. The four-year programme for Kyiv is part of a $115-billion global package to support the economy as Ukraine battles Russia's invading forces. "An IMF team, led by Uma Ramakrishnan, Deputy Director of the Fund's European Department, starts meetings today in Kyiv with the Ukrainian authorities and other stakeholders," Stepanyan said in a statement. ☆ Residents of Nagorno-Karabakh fear for future under blockade

CNN —Ani Kirakosyani found out she was pregnant a month after the blockade of Nagorno-Karabakh began. “If not for the blockade, I would be playing with my child today,” Kirakosyani told CNN. He told CNN that before the blockade he had received most of his produce from Armenia. I only have one week left until the shop closes and I am jobless,” he told CNN. Meanwhile Russia, which brokered the ceasefire in 2020, has peacekeepers along the Lachin corridor but has refrained from intervening further.

Russian lawmaker Anatoly Karpov received serious head injuries outside the State Duma, per multiple reports. A string of Russian officials have died in mysterious ways since the invasion of Ukraine began. Karpov's spokesperson Albert Stepanyan denied he had been injured at all, saying: "There was no attack ... there are no injuries," state media outlet TASS reported. He was taken to the neurocritical care unit at the Sklifosovsky Institute in Moscow with a fractured femur and severe head injuries, per RIA Novosti. "In the end ordinary people are the victims," he continued.

"Desfăşurarea soldaţilor turci în Karabah nu a fost convenită", a declarat purtătorul de cuvânt al Kremlinului Dmitri Peskov, în comentarii difuzate de TASS.Preşedintele azer Ilham Aliev a spus, într-un discurs difuzat mai înainte marţi, că Azerbaidjanul va înfiinţa un centru de menţinere a păcii cu "soldaţi ruşi şi turci la datorie". Încă de luni, înainte să fie anunţat acordul, 17 partide, printre care şi cel al fostului preşedinte Serge Sarkissian, pe care Paşinian l-a înlăturat de putere cu sprijinul străzii în 2018, i-au cerut acestuia din urmă demisia.
